Sedcom Libris is a book distributor that also sells office supplies, stationary and toys, with an experience of over 50 years in the field, based in Iasi. The company collects its profit from a chain of 24 upgraded and computerised bookshops member of AGORA Owners Organisation of Distribution Companies of Printed Materials and Other Cultural Goods of Romania.

In 2014, due the increased dynamics of the e-commerce, Sedcom Libris decided to develop its business and put online its portfolio of approx. 60000 products (literature books, books for children, technical books, manuals, etc.), stationery, school bags, bags, writing instruments, toys and arts.

Due to the multiple fields of the product range on sale and the fact that the verbal identity used for bookshops (Sedcom Libris) is a common name in Romania, being specific to the old bookshop chains operating between 1946 -1989, the decision to build a new brand exclusive for the online business was a natural one.

The new brand’s verbal and visual identity support the functional positioning of the e-commerce portal, describing it as an umbrella brand for the books, stationery and leisure products for children and adults and showing a smart shopping choice, both because of the large product portfolio and the good price-quality-services ratio. The logotype supports the visual identity and the new positioning by the graphical match of two symbols: the book – that defines the big percentage of the product range and the “wise” choices, and the fox – symbol of smart shopping.
